Run Windows-based Programs on a Mac
WinMerge is an Open Source visual text file differencing and merging tool for Win32 platforms. It is highly useful for determing what has changed between project versions, and then merging changes between versions. It features visual differencing and merging of text files, a flexible editor with syntax highlighting, line numbers and word-wrap and handles DOS, UNIX and MAC text. Windows users should download the MSI, or for older releases, check out the Meld installer project. On OS X, Meld is not yet officially supported. For pre-built binaries, these OS X builds are the best option. Question: Q: WinMerge like tool on Mac? On my PC, I often use a free-ware called WinMerge. It allows me to compare two file folders and all subfolders under it. It produces a side by side report on what files are different, what are identical, what are missing on the left and what on the right etc. With a click of button, it lets you move.

You can also run Meld without installing it. Just extract the archive and run bin/meld from the archive folder.
